What We Do

March Australia Activist Interchange provides an event calendar and information exchange for activist groups, organisations and individuals to share and promote their events and actions.  In this way communities can work to raise awareness and bring public opinion to bare on decision makers.

March Australia Activist Interchange is a form of online community notice board and information clearing house.

We operate a website and facebook page for individuals and organisations concerned with issues of social justice and equity, human and civil rights, environmental protection and better, more accountable government.

We work to:

  • Provide links to organisations with specific concerns such as the environment, indigenous issues, asylum seekers, welfare issues, and government accountability

  • Support and promote the activities and events of progressive activist groups and organisations via media and the nationwide March Australia regional network

  • Bring activist organisations and individuals together to empower and support each other.

  • Provide an information exchange for resource and information sharing

  • Raise awareness between groups of each other’s objectives and strategies

  • Provide an event calendar for groups to share and cross promote events and activities

  • Operate a news feed and blog section providing media articles of relevance

  • Act as a one stop shop for people seeking to connect with other groups and information on events in their own locality

  • Maintain a news feed providing up to date news articles and information on issues affecting Australia’s social fabric and the environment we inhabit

  • Promote democratic participation, social inclusion and equity

  • Support the public interest in any way possible
